The most commonly noticed side effects are:
low blood pressure
water and electrolyte depletion
Less common side effects:jaundice, ringing in ears (tinnitus), light sensitivity, rash, pancreatitis, nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, anemia, other blood disorders. Pregnancy and breast feeding
Furosemide effect during pregnancy have not been fully studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, and going to or using Furosemide already - consult with your doctor immediately to avoid baby injuries.

In order to improve your potassium level, your doctor may prescribe a potassium supplement or recommend potassium-rich foods, such as bananas, raisins, and orange juice.
Furosemide should not be used for some patients who are experiencing kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, gout, or the connective tissue disease, lupus erythematosus.
