Take Furosemide as recommended by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Furosemide with a meal. Furosemide can increase the amount of urine or cause you to urinate more often when you first start taking it. To keep this from disturbing your sleep, try to take your dosage before 6 pm (18:00).

Furosemide can cause dizziness. These effects can worsen if Furosemide is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Furosemide with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly not safe tasks until you know how you respond to this pill. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, ask your doctor. Furosemide should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than determined by your physician.
